Have you ever tasted Coconut Manna?
“Wow” doesn’t even cover the spectacular flavor. For about $12 for a 8 oz jar you can buy Coconut Manna. But for $3 and a bit of coconut oil, you can make your own! Our local farmer has some coconuts and we are enjoying this season!
We have 2 children now that have to be on a true Paleo, GAPS inspired, and Weston A. Price instructed diet. What that means is no NUTS for 2 of us! And we love nuts. Read here and a nut snack here! However, coconut slips through and is allowable so we are figuring out ways to afford this nut even more in our diet. Here is how: many foods we render from a coconut.
2 Simple Ingredients
1/4 – 1/2 C Coconut Oil I like this one
Once you have your coconut pulp made, you add the coconut oil. (I like to dehydrate to coconut pulp until a bit yellow-y. It takes a few hours at 170° F.)
Grind together in a high-powered blender my fav!. You will have to stir around the edges to keep the pulp in the “blend zone”. Otherwise the amount is too low to blend well.
Now you can scrape it out and put into a jar. Although store bought manna does not require refrigeration we are storing ours in the fridge.
Super simple you are done! Enjoy!
Just put into any shake and it adds a lot of flavor and nutrients to your body!
