Why All the Fuss About Vaccines? It should be a fuss about choice!
Ok… this is the face seen every few months we had to get shots. At this point in time, I had NO idea what was in a vaccine. I just assumed it was the same our parents had and that the medical community would make sure the ingredients were healthy.
You know when someone is “pushing” you to use drugs, it is illegal and condemned except in one area. Vaccines!
When my immune-compromised son was born, everyone was in a hurry to have him vaccinated. He became worse in health and by 3 years old, his behavior changed completely. He went from a calm, very sweet child, to people asking me what was his problem! It was horrible. And I didn’t realize we had a choice.
Every single child we foster is also “required” to have all the vaccinations. Each child in the Foster System legally belongs to the State; therefore it IS required to vaccinate and exemptions do not apply. So if you are compliant, by the time a child is *3 years old, 22 Vaccines have been administered which equates to 118 antigens injected. Doesn’t that seem like a lot of drugs to put into my child on purpose?
Of course, I am learning all this AFTERWARDS! As we are “harvesting stem cells” for our foster son, there is a list of preparations before beginning. One item is to ensure the cancer child is not exposed to chicken pox, measles, mumps, rubella, etc…Well, I am not aware of any exposure, however I ask about another son who is “due” for his live chicken pox virus.
The doctor writes me a note to explain how one son cannot receive the chicken pox vaccine until my foster son with cancer is recovered from his treatment. Thus begins my journey into my suspicions about vaccines.
Makes me sound s-l-o-w, but the not-so-funny truth is that the majority of parents just comply without asking questions.
Are there any options? What happened in the past? Who tests the vaccines for safety? What is in the vaccine? I find this site to be an amazing, educational site… The National Vaccine Information Center.*[References used are the: American Academy of Pediatrics Well-Child Care Visits Recommendation and 2013 Centers for Disease Control, 0-18 month Immunization Schedule] Source
Wait, what is a vaccine? Is it a drug?
According to Websters Dictionary, a vaccine is a preparation of killed microorganisms, living attenuated organisms, or living fully virulent organisms that is administered to produce or artificially increase immunity to a particular disease. The literal latin means, of or from cow.
In the U.S., the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates and licenses all vaccines to ensure safety and effectiveness. No federal vaccination laws exist, but all 50 states require certain vaccinations for children entering public schools. Depending on the state, children must be vaccinated against some or all of the following diseases: mumps, measles, rubella, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, and polio.Quoted from the CDC site at [http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/laws/state-reqs.htm]
So many of us get really picky about putting good clean food in our mouths, yet we have no idea what we are putting into our bodies when we go to a Medical Doctor and get an antibiotic or vaccine. And if you are trying to eat Kosher, shouldn’t you know what’s in your prescribed medication so you can ask for another option if in violation? What was I thinking in the beginning?!
Your Challenge is to BE INFORMED. Ask for alternatives to vaccines. Do some research and know that there are options to decisions you make in parenting, and I hope there will be options in the future for Foster Children. Here are some ideas:
- Find a Licensed Homeopathic practitioner and get a Homeopathic Vaccination Kit
- Eat a pure, organic, healthy diet and do nothing else…so
- Go to your local Clerk of Courts, in the USA, and fill out a form for a religious exemption (every year)
- Get vaccinated as recommended
- Get vaccinated, but delay the timing and number of antigens
Know all the risks of each choice and make the best decision for your children and family.
If you want another side of the story, you should see “The Greater Good” . It is an award winning documentary on vaccines. It documents both sides of vaccination and although biased by showing the harmed children…you at least get another side of the story. It is important to be fully aware of the choices you make and to know the risks…either way!
