Foster Care is Not What You Think

Foster Care is Better Than You Think

There are many misconceptions regarding foster care. When something goes wrong, it hits the headlines or a movie is made. But truly, every family, case manager, licensing agent, group home staff, or social worker we meet, has a heart of gold!

Rather than sharing all the unkind perceptions, I want to share a video interview with an amazing person who represents the many wonderful people in this system. These incredible social workers love our “kids without parents” and make a difference every day.

In hopes to share a bit of my world and who I work/volunteer with, we took a moment to discuss the real foster system. One of my favorite people also helps juvenile children in homes as well as foster kids. Most staff do not want a public interview, but today my friend, Rhonda, gets real and shares her thirty years of experience.

Real Food Recovery is a 501(c)3 organization. For those of you fortunate enough to need a tax deduction, we take donations in order to provide more healthy food and education to “kids at risk”. There are 400,000 kids in the United States in Foster Care and Orphanages. These kids need good food and Real Food Recovery which helps us improve the lives of foster kids and earth-friendly farmers.

We invite you to be a part of our adventure!
